Had a MKDD mentor (an ex-MK64 player) for about a year who recently
moved out, so figured it's about time to join up and race against some
other faceless people (and maybe head-to-head against my mentor should
he ever join up...I surpassed my master some time ago, and I think he
wants his crown back).
Times are quite inconsistent as we've always concentrated on the fun
ones (the "big four" for us have always been BC, YC, SL and DC). Lots
of work to do on the rest now to make my profile consistent I guess.
No times for WS yet as up til now I've used the shortcut on time trials.
No lap times for some tracks as my mentor holds the best lap on some
tracks and I don't have a record of my own :)
Out of interest, is there any convention for use of mushrooms on best
laps? Me and my mentor tend to frown on use of two mushrooms in one
lap of a trial, firstly because it tends to result in crap course times
and secondly because the lap times achieved that way are
unrepresentative. Is there an accepted opinion on this, or is it
ignored, or what? Obviously there's no way to enforce it anyway,
but...

Yeah, so I only joined today (sorry if an update so soon causes your
scripts any problems, BTW, maintainers). But while waiting for my
times to show up in the charts, I got bored and had a look at my
rankings by hand, and noticed a couple of stinkers. Also decided it
was time I killed those times my mentor left me, so that my memory card
is my own once more (and to wind him up a bit).
So, lap times for those tracks I missed in my first mail, times for WS
without any shortcutting, and new PRs to wind up my mentor...

Upped a few Intermediates to low Advanced, so all my times are now
advanced or expert :)

Watched MMM's Luigi vid, learned me some new tricks :) Plenty of time
to be shaved off using his approach, but I just can't get it consistent
yet.

This clears out the last of my unsightly Advanced B standard times; all
Advanced A or better now.

Trying to move my AdvancedA records into ExpertD territory, one by one.
Yesterdays was DDJ, today's is LC. LC today was definitely much harder
to take time off (hence the low-end ExD entry); guess I've been
neglecting it cos I've always thought it was "boring". Getting more
interesting now though :) 4 down, 15 to go. DDD will be next, when I
find the time.
Cheers,
Zak

Hi,
Been a while. Could you update my profile location to London please?
A handful of new times to postpone the profile-rot (wanna get back to
<200). YC because it's a psychological barrier to defeat first when
getting back into playing. MCT for some easy places. BC as an old
favorite, and it also happens to claw back one entry against Stacy
Needham - back when I stopped playing a few moons ago, she (?) was a
UKer I felt I had to beat, mostly because I'm a sexist pig.
