Hi Alex, found some time to kart whilst my girlfriend took a shower ;) Now that I finally got an Intermediate-proof time sheet and secured DDJ course and BP with some Advanced C standards, I’ll be focusing on my first Expert D on BC and MCT. Also getting sub #500 in the combined ranks would really be pleasing so I won’t neglect my lesser tracks along the way. It was an long shower so I even found the time to improve YC and DKM. Here are some comments on my 8 most recent PR's.
BP: I’ll be honest, this track is a pain in the ass sometimes. I had to restart quite a few times until I got most of the turns right and used a rather good 6MT strat. Still I’m content with my most recent results.
YC: I like this one. Together with BC, MCT, Mario Circuit and DC it’s in my top-5 list. Last time I played I felt stronger but I lacked some good turns in the 3th lap, which resulted in an pour improvement so I believe I can still kart a better time without learning some more advanced techniques first.
DKM: Long time since I updated this one, so it wasn’t too difficult to snatch a PR there. I believe I didn’t even shroom when I flapped a new record so many possibilities here. Also I’m searching for a good strat to get that shortcut more efficiently so in short: I expect some big PR cuts soon for this track.
DDJ: Cool track but there are some hard parts. Already in the first turn I needed some time to develop the feeling to stop drifting at exactly the right moment in such a way that I passed the bumps at the end on the perfect driving line without hit the grass on the left or bump the wall on the right. Also the shortcut is something to get used to and in the first lap, when you don’t shroom, it’s a skill to drift passed the water holes and at the same time drift alongside the ravine. But once I got most of that right and succeed in doing 2 MT’s on the bridge and taking the sharp turn more efficiently, I managed to do an PR smash (if I may call it so) of -4 seconds so I’m really pleased here. I still even see a whole lot of occasions where I can improve with an better turn or some more MT’s so that’s encouraging.
BP 1’09”435 0’09”357
YC 1’53”367 0’36”481
DKM 2’02”830 0’40”513
DDJ 1’56”624 0’37”989
Thanks man! And thumbs up for the good work! I like it, especially the 'About us' section on the site. Keep it up!

LC: The hardest part for me in this track is the first turn where I still need to work on MT'ing while drifting around the sand.
PB: Hell I've been swearing a lot during this one, repeatedly starting over and over and over again... But I couldn't always get the SSMT's right on the straight road before the finish line, so I'm still 302 milliseconds away from an Expert D and I'll be damned only 5 milliseconds for a new flap!
BP: I'll be honest, can't quiet remember how I flapped here. A third of these new PR's I did around 4am one night after returning from a night out, so the details are a bit blurry. I do know that I'm getting the hang of taking these turns more sharply. It was cool to see that I finally got sub 1min9sec.
DDD: I hate sand. It gets everywhere, but gets me nowhere. Glad I got rid of the Advanced D though.
MB: Still working on drifting between the cars and the wall. Found a better shroom spot thought (right after the first turn after the finish line, in the tunnel).
MCR: I hoped to get an Expert D here, still working on better shrooms.
DC: Daisy and I got some quarrels at the moment. I'll let you know when things work out between us.
WS: Glad I finally wiped off my previous records from the board, as it was done with the glitch. Kind of impressed with that flap though, even if it's just AB, can't seem to come close to it anymore.
SL: Getting the hang of those shroomspots right after the tunnel, but still can't combine it with some MT'ing. I'm also gonna have to work on MT'ing around long turns to win some time. That's something to work on for most of the tracks.
MCT: Love this one. Glad I finally got expert. Maybe it's time to seek out other driving lines. I'll watch some videos first.
YC: I have a hard time finding new tricks to do this one better, so I better go look up some videos on youtube. Maybe it's time to learn to take the shortcut without mushroom? Don't know if It will do good. Still one of my favourite tracks so I'll be updating this one soon.
DKM: Satisfying PR, as it's one of the hardest tracks. Still working on taking that shortcut more smoothly but I just can't get it right.
WC: PR smash doesn't do it justice, this was an unexpected PR orgasm. I believe I came from 15,400 seconds so that's almost 6 seconds better! Finding the right driving line to L-tech on the spiral was just the beginning. I realized how many seconds I was losing flying in the air so I practiced on midair MT's and the results were remarkable!
DDJ: oooh man just 76 milliseconds away from Expert D! I've been karting many hours to get this one right. I believe the missing part is an MT or 2 while passing the finish line, I always forget those. Shouldn't complain though, it's also a hard one with many obstacles.
BC: Better SSMT'ing combined with some midair MT's resulted in an satisfying victory. Although my 2th lap was much worse than the other two, I was pleased to finally erase that Advanced A standard of the charts and it only means I can still do better!
RR: Just as wario colosseum, another unexpected turn of events. I believe I even come very close to an Expert C! I'll see what I can do.
Thanks guys, as always!

Hey guys, probably one of my last updates till mid February. Got to study
for my last exam and afterwards I'll be working and going on holidays.
Notice the additional info below my name, if you could fill that in my
profile would be awesome ;)
DC: 1'45"587 0'34"644
SL: 1'20"786 0'26"310
BC: 2'30"064 0'49"309
DC: More successful MT's/lap, some better turns down the stairs and a
better driving line while turning for the shortcut around the pool resulted
in a fine PR!
SL: Not much to say, barely got AA so I'll probably need to rethink my
strategy for this track to get some expert times.
BC: Thrilling runs on this one, hard to get past all the obstacles but man
I it's my favorite. After 3 hours of playing I managed to cut down over 1.5
seconds. Almost at EC! I'll start working on a good strategy for a better
flap cause now I only used one mushroom.
Thanks guys!
