"I find it interesting how many PR's I was able to beat after a 35 month
hiatus. I haven't touched the game in almost three years. When I was active
last I was a junior in college and competed against my college roommate. We
easily put hundred of races into Time Trials and I'm amazed at how easily

Attached is a video for soft proof. It's not the best quality - but it's a
start.

My friends get a pretty good laugh out of how "serious" I'm taking this
right now. So I figured I would include a little "self-interview" about my
week and you can pick out statements to put in in the update. If you could
make it sound as dorky as possible, that would be great

*"News Blurb": * "I felt really good on the track this week. I really
stepped up my game and hammered down on making "mistake-free" trips around
the tracks. Since I have not yet mastered the ability to A-Tech, it's
important that I make the most of my ghosts so I can position myself to be
better. My goal for the week was simple: beat all of my previous scores
from 2008 / 2009 (since they were on a memory card I no longer have) so I
could have all scores updated. After putting in the time I finally knocked
out the Sherbet Land lap time. I spent a lot of time focused on DK Mountain
this week and was rewarded with a 7+ second time decrease. It certainly got
frustrating at times. I scribbled down 8 different PR's for the course
along the way to end up finishing with a 2:02. My goals for the next week
would be to revisit courses that have gotten away from my attention: Luigi
Circuit, Daisy Cruiser, and Waluigi Stadium. They all have solid ghosts but
I am confident that I can be better."

*Statement* (For "News" blog, take and pick what you want)
"I set a goal to eliminate all Intermediate times from my scorecard but
unless I have a rush of e-mails tomorrow I will have to settle for 12/15
for the week. Luigi Circuit frustrated me for the last half of the week.
The course time came up 00:050 short of an advanced time and I was never
able to reach it. Several times I had a lead on my ghost going into the
final lap, but the ghost races my PR lap and I lose to it each time.
Very disappointing to not get that advanced time. Yoshi Circuit was my best
course this week. I improved by almost 4 seconds and broke a PR a half a
dozen times along the way."

Blurb: I didn't get a lot of work in this week. I had to prepare my
students for their final exam for the first summer session. I targeted
Mushroom Bridge and Mario Circuit because both previous records had ghosts
in them that hit other objects. When you have a ghost that makes a mistake,
you know you can do better. Hopefully the set of 7 PR's can jump me the 13
needed spots into the top 500.
