Subject: 5 PR's
These are my first PR's in many weeks. They were all gotten today.
Mushroom Bridge 3-lap: 1'21"828
Mushroom Bridge F-lap: 26"811
Sherbet Land 3-lap: 1'17"109
Sherbet Land F-lap: 24"751
Mushroom City 3-lap: 1'38"940
MB splits: 27"785-27"232-26"811 0-0-2
SL splits: 26"191-25"506-25"412 0-1-1
MC splits: 33"318-32"768-32"854 0-1-1
SL is the first course I played. I thought I could do better there because
in a video I recently watched, I noticed that I wasn't cutting through the
snow where you use your 2nd mushroom in F-lap attempts, as after all it
seems to be a faster path even when you don't have a mushroom. Well, I
indeed beat my previous 3-lap PR in a relatively short time, but I'm not
fully satisfied yet. I was hoping I could get into the 1'16's, as I've
gotten a 26"044 1st lap 0-shroomer and a few promising races such as
26"193-25"221-crash (0-1-crash). The F-lap in MB is a pretty crappy
improvement, but it's still nice to see that it passes Michael Jongerius.
:-) The MC 3-lap is another PR that does practically nothing, but I had
wanted that sub 1'39 for a little while, so I can finally say this is done.
All in all, some potential left in all 3 courses, which I guess is a good
sign. I hope to be reclaiming a top 40 position overall soon enough, and if
possible try for something a little better.

sorry alex but i havent quite given up on BC just yet. and now i have
past u, THE LEGENDARY ALEX PENEV! anyways about my run....well the
first lap was very decent and was .091 ahead of my ghost. the second
lap i was .346 ahead since i could finally turn sharper after the
last thwomp since it was in the air. and the third lap coulda have
been much better. i slowed down against the wall trying to avoid the
last thwomp but then realized i didnt have to try and avoid it since
it came down just after i past. also i didnt MT after the stairs at
all because i was afraid of running into the fireball and the SC jump
could have been taken a bit better. still .163 improvement and im
soooo close to HA :)

Splits: 34"549-34"201-36"037 1-1-0
The beginning of the race was very nice. The best 1st lap I got during
tonight's session was 34"365, but the others were all over 34"5, and getting
just one nice lap is already pretty hard for me in YC, so getting 2 in a row
as it was the case in my PR was something great to see happening. (even
though I did miss 1 MT in each of the lap) Come to think of it, the 3rd lap
was not really that bad either, but I just completely lost it as I was
nearing the exit of the tunnel, so that resulted into 1 or 2 missed MT's and
a questionable driving line, but the rest of the lap was very good. My F-lap
(34"117) looks pretty bad now in comparison with the 3-lap, but I'm going to
bed in just a few minutes, so I'll try to work on it some more tomorrow or
next time I play.

Rainbow Road F-lap: 59"747 (Hero B) >1 second improvement!!
Splits: 1'01"01-1'00"64-59"96 0-0-2
These times took me very long to get, but they were definitely worth the
time spent playing. First PR I got was a 3'02"7. I really wanted at least a
low 3'02 though, so I kept playing. After countless runs, I got a
1'01"323-59"747 0-2 race in which I obviously had to crash on 3rd lap. Then,
barely a few minutes later, I got this 3-lap PR that's currently my best
ranked PR at 24th! (2nd best being the F-lap at 25th) The 3 laps were solid
and all pretty good for me, but not flawless obviously. (granted, my best
1st lap is barely faster at 1'00"999, but I know I've messed up quite a few
laps that could have been mid or mid-high 1'00's with a nice ending)
