I started playing this game again for the first time since 2011 two
weeks ago, and I didn't even have any of my save data from back then, so
I was able to start from scratch and go through all the tracks one by
one and learn actual strats. Earlier today I finally finished learning
the final course, dkm, and I now have a whole new timesheet to submit!
Between 2011 and 2015 I've had a few years of experience speedrunning
super mario 64, and I think I definitely have a better grasp of how to
improve in a speedgame now than I did when I was 16, so we'll see how
far I go this time before I go back to sm64 or something haha

A new Hero, the PB lap, been hoping to get better at that track for a long long time.

Although the MCT improvement on 3 lap is small, been wanting that sub 1:40 for a while.

Joe told me he beat my RR lap, so I made sure he still has some competition.

I'll be taking christmas and new year away from mario kart probably, busy time of year. Some more hero times in 2016 I'm sure.

Got a bunch of new times during Christmas time, only on Flower cup this time because apart from DC, it's pretty weak overall compared to my Star & Special. Can"t quite get to subs territory in MB & MCR though...

Hope you had a good christmas! I spent way too much of the christmas break playing this game.

All Exp B and above now and all in the top 300, and averaging Exp A!

Baby Park lap was so so close to being my first Hero B, but Im happy. A hero in Mario Circuit lap and I think I can get Hero in the 3 lap too. Similar story in DDJ, so close to the Hero lap.

Hopefully I'll be breaking into the top 200 very soon!

Using MKDD as breaks from exam studying, I managed some prettygood scores! Particularly excited about my MB and MCT times. It's nice to get some top 50 3laps (especially since my 3lap/flap rank ratio is 1.4) andit feels great to have a Myth+ time! I never had time to send in these times before I left for the break (and decided to leave my gamecube behind). Hoping to get back in the groove of MKDD within the next few weeks (except, rumor has it that rob got an xbox uno, good thing we have a dedicated nintendo mini tv).
