Subject: First PR's in a while

Hey, first of all, I believe I'm among those few people whose times are
considered "frozen" on the site as of July 20th, but that's because the guy
who I sent my tape to could only make a MPG file of my MKDD time trial
records scroll yesterday, that is on the 21st. I told Derek about the video
file being on the net already, and you can view it here:
http://www.angelfire.com/ultra/smk_vids/Laflamme_MKDD.wmv . With this, I
believe there should be no more times' validation problem with me for now,
so onto the new PR's (which were achieved today):

Waluigi Stadium 3-lap: 1'43"850
Waluigi Stadium F-lap: 32"910

Splits: 34"460-35"265-34"125 1-0-1

Both times go from Expert C to Expert A in standard. The 3-lap is a nice
time given I had 1'46"1 before. I took way more advantage of the air-MT's
than I was doing before, and it sure rewarded. I was surprised at the F-lap
time, because I missed 2 MT's on it, but the rest was still far from bad.
Well, WS are no longer my worst ranked times now, plus they give me 2 wins
on Michael Jongerius, so I think I'm done with that course for the time
being. :-)

Yoshi Circuit 3-lap: 1'45"928 (34"967-34"854-36"107? 1-1-0)
Yoshi Circuit F-lap: 34"117

All 3 PR's go from Expert B to Expert A, leaving me with 21 Expert A times.
That's somewhat crazy when you think that I have no Hero time yet! I'm quite
pleased with the SL 3-lap. I was going for a 1'17 there. First I got a
1'17"8, but I noticed that a few tenths faster would gain me quite a few
places on the top 100 (including Michael Jongerius :-)), so I kept playing.
YC has room for more. My best 1-shroomer is 34"359 I think, 34"7 on a 1st
lap. I'm sure I can really get a 0-shroomer well into the 35's. I wouldn't
know how low of a 35" however, because I have never finished one single
0-shroomer that was good. That 36"107 should have been nice, but I managed
somehow to get my kart to do a small trip through the grass around the end.
Oh well!...

Simon

The F-lap would be my 1st Hero D time, whereas my 3-lap is Expert A. Neither
of the laps are really good, nor bad in fact... They would all be average
laps. (maybe slightly under average if anything) I have gotten a 24"1
0-shroomer 1st lap, but that, along with the 22"788 F-lap, was ~2 tenths
faster than any other lap I've gotten for each kind. Peach Beach remains
definitely not my best course, but it's still quite better now than it was
before.
